The health of our civilization, the depth of our awareness about the underpinnings of our culture and our concern for the future can all be tested by how well we support our libraries. —Carl Sagan
I don’t think there is a better place to spend your time than in a library. If it wasn’t for the library my upbringing would have been even harder than it was. Growing up the poor kid had its drawbacks. While the kids in my class were going to the movies I was perusing the horror and SciFi sections. And ya know what? I wouldn’t change it for a minute. I think one of the most important things people can do to better themselves is to read a book. I’m not going to list all the good things that come out of reading. This post is simply to tell you about the books I checked out. Here they are, up close and personal.
1)Occult America, by Mitch Horowitz
2)Something Wicked this Way Comes, by Ray Bradbury
3)Paranormal America, by Christopher D. Bader
4)Driving Blind, by Ray Bradbury
5)The Exegesis of Philip K Dick
Go to the library!
